Medical care
The monks come from a practically infectious disease free high mountain climate to humid and hot South India and are faced with attacks from Tuberculosis, Hepatitis and tropical skin diseases for which they have little resistance. In addition to that, due to the poor water quality most monks suffer from a bleeding stomach ulcer which can only be treated with antibiotics. Unfortunately, medicine cannot be imported into India.
We want to provide funds for preventive immunization and
medical treatments.
